Hurricane Hugo changed the lives of many and the face of 
Charleston forever. A native Charlestonian, the young carpenter Magnus Shier learned his craft under dire circumstances.
In the Hugo aftermath, Magnus Shier became a sought after craftsman. The residences in downtown Charleston were devastated, and Magnus helped in the rebuild of this beautiful city.
From those early days to today, Magnus earned a reputation as the go-to craftsman. He restored several mansions to their former glory…and as President of Edgewater Kitchens, he continues his impeccable work and reputation.
